ONLINE TRAINING ON HOT TOPICS IN GOVERNANCE AND RESULTS-BASED MANAGEMENT!

The fully online training program offered by IDEA International in English is presented below. The training program includes Masters Certificate programs and professional workshops.

Online Training Schedule

MASTER CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS (180 HOURS OVER 3 1/2 MONTHS) IN PARTNERSHIP WITH UNIVERSITY LAVAL (CANADA)

  1. A Masters Certificate program is a graduate level continuing education program.
  2. It includes 3 modules of 60 work hours each, for a total of 180 work hours.
  3. Each module lasts 4 weeks and is separated from the next module by 2 weeks.
  4. The contents of a given module is structured in two phases: Phase 1: Courses and applications (45 hours over 3 weeks) and Phase 2 Integration Project (15 hours over 1 week).
  5. Phase 1 is spent acquiring and mastering new concepts and methods to analyze those concepts. It combines presentations by the facilitators, readings on the current state of knowledge and case studies, as well as practical exercises and applications.
  6. Phase 2 is spent on an individual integration project which is an application of some of the competences acquired during Weeks 1 to 3 to a practical case relevant for each participant. Its purpose is to demonstrate her/his capacity for analysis, synthesis and integration of various concepts and methods learnt, which is a characteristic of a graduate program.
  7. To enroll, participants need to hold an undergraduate university degree and possess at least three years of relevant professional experience.
  8. Participants who successfully complete the 3 modules of a given Masters certificate program obtain the Masters Certificate Diploma of University Laval and the equivalent of four credits in the Master's Program in Organizational Development from the same university.

PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS 2020 (15 HOURS OVER 1 WEEK)

  1. A professional workshop is a short continuing education activity focusing on a specific topic in four specialty areas of IDEA International, i.e. Monitoring & Evaluation, Public Investment Management, Budgeting for Results and Public-Private Partnerships.
  2. It lasts 15 hours over 1 week, including 3 synchronous hours (a 2-hour webinar conducted by the facilitator to go through key topics of the week and hold a Q&A session and a 1-hour Forum of written exchanges on 1 or 2 topics chosen by the facilitator) and 12 asynchronous hours (listening to video-capsules, reading PowerPoint presentations and other documents, doing exercises and assignments).
  3. The Courses and applications Phase of the Masters Certificate programs mentioned above is structured in three 1-week sections that are also offered as Professional Workshops. Thus, a participant can follow different workshops and build up requirements toward the Masters Certificate program as long as academic requirements are met.
  4. The participant having completed the requirements of the workshop receive a certificate of successful participation.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Access IDEA International website with the link below: (https://www.idea-international.org/en/training-schedule-2020-2/);
  2. Choose from the proposed training modules that by placing your cursor on top of the box on the right;
  3. Validate the option and click on the confirmation box at the end of the training program;
  4. Complete the form that pops up and click the confirmation button to complete the registration.
You will receive a receipt of your registration by mail. An IDEA representative will contact you for more information and an invoice will be sent to you by mail. You must pay the registration fee one month before the program starts. The bank transfer will appear in the contact information of the pro forma invoice. Payment guarantees your registration.

Online training begins on the scheduled date or when the minimum number of registered participants is reached (12). Training is subject to postponement or possible cancellation if the number of registered and paid participants is insufficient. If dates change, the training manager will notify registered participants at least one month before the originally scheduled date. If the training were to be cancelled, the participants already registered and having paid would be reimbursed.

Participants who have met the requirements will be contacted by the training manager to specify the start date, the rolling out of the program, and to provide them with a guide to navigate the IDEA eLearning platform.
