Information Systems

The Institute offers Management Information Systems (MIS) solutions to support planning, monitoring and evaluation of public programs and projects. The range of IDEA solutions includes the following complementary modules:

  • Planning and Budgeting System
  • Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System
  • Public Procurement Management System
  • Electronic Document Management System

IDEA’s solutions can be implemented independently or in an integrated manner to enhance the performance of an organisation or ministry. They are compatible with most existing management systems. They can be implemented in a modular manner, in intranet mode or web mode (Internet) and often use a data warehouse approach.

Services offered include:

  • Diagnostic of existing information systems, statistical systems, and data quality;
  • Data and information needs assessment;
  • Development of solutions aiming at improving data collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of data and information to users and decision makers;
  • Design and implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) using a data warehouse approach for storage, securization, interconnection, access, and use of data bases;
  • Use of Business Intelligence tools to provide solutions to support decision making processes (dashboards, report generation, GIS, pivot tables, etc.);
  • Implementation of Electronic Document Management Systems.

The Institute also offers advisory services in terms of technological choices of software and hardware that are adapted to the client's needs and use new information technologies. Moreover, it offers on-the-job training to foster users' appropriation and enable an efficient use of the information systems solutions put in place.
